Lecture 3 - Computer Graphics

During the lecture, several points were brought up regarding the difference between vector and bitmap graphics, and the fundamental distinction between them is that vector graphics are based on algorithm, so the images look just the same in different size (when zoom in or zoom out); bitmap graphics (raster images) are made up by pixels, so there is a huge difference in image quality when viewing the images in small as compared to big size.
Some important points with respect to the color mode, image resolution, file format were also discussed during class as they affect our print or web publishing quality.
